Microsoft office 2010 Word Migration Considerations
Migrate Word document
No changes introduced in the 2007 Microsoft Office system XML-based file format, and will continue to use the default file format in Microsoft Office 2010.
Open a document in Microsoft office 2010 Word, the document to open one of three modes will be the following:
Microsoft office 2010 Word
Microsoft office 2007 Word compatibility mode
Microsoft office 97-2003 Word compatibility mode
To determine if a document in which mode, check the title bar of the document. Displayed after the file name "(Compatibility Mode)", said the document in Word 2007 compatibility mode or Word 97-2003 compatible mode.
